Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving your website’s rankings in search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing, in order to drive more organic traffic (visitors that you get for free) to your website. SEO can involve both on site optimization and off site optimization. On site optimization refers to the techniques that are applied to your website to make it more SEO friendly, including such techniques as using appropriate keywords for your content or installing SEO friendly plug ins which make your site easier for search engines to index. Off site optimization is the process of improving the ranking of your website by raising your website’s profile on other people’s websites.
